Types of Therapies


Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is to understand yourself better. It is a safe place for you to explore different parts of yourself. Parts that were shamed, angry and scared as well as your strengths and gifts. Learning to love all parts of you is a huge part of healing. Please note Therapy will involve only the client and the therapist. I will not engage in any discussion if anyone from your side calls up to discuss about you. If there is a risk issue involved I will be contacting the person whose number you have provided in case of emergency .

Couples Therapy

When we choose to be a couple we learn a lot about ourselves. Our partner can bring out the best parts in us which can be very satisfying. Over time our partner brings out wounded parts of ourselves that don’t feel so good or overwhelm us to the point that we question the relationship. Couples therapy teaches you skills that help you understand your parts of self and manage yourself as a couple. In couples therapy it’s essential for both partners to be present so that they can heal and evolve together. Please note If I see you as a couple I can’t work with you as your individual therapist or communicate with you individually. I will always interact with both partners together or through group WhatsApp, if it’s regarding scheduling.

EMDR Therapy

Eye movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a powerful and effective therapy for the treatment of traumas, psychological conditions and even emotional issues. EMDR has been extensively researched and is considered evidence based therapy . EMDR therapy incorporates bilateral stimulation into a comprehensive approach that processes and releases information trapped in the mind and body, freeing people from disturbing images and body sensations, debilitating emotions and restrictive beliefs. This revolutionary therapy has helped millions of clients of all ages. As a result of EMDR’s clearing of emotional and physical blockages, many people also experience a sense of joy, openness and deep connection with others. Research by Barack et all have shown that online EMDR therapy can also be effective. Please note During the process of EMDR via video call we will ensure all safety procedures are in place. For bilateral stimulation, I can send you audio and you will just need your earphones and mobile, we can use two objects or even post it for eye movements if none of these suit you we can simply tap. In case the Internet connection cuts out we will have an alternative plan in place .
